Our Editorial Mission

We built Sting GMB to cut through the noise of local search. You run a real business. You need real visibility. We publish operational, field-tested local SEO strategies that actually move the needle in the map pack.

We do not publish theory.

How We Choose Topics

We source our editorial calendar from three specific areas:

We do not quietly erase mistakes. We add a dated correction note at the bottom of the affected article explaining exactly what was changed and why. Accountability builds trust.

Affiliate and Commercial Relationships

We run a profitable business. Sting GMB generates revenue through local SEO services, our proprietary software tools, and select affiliate partnerships.

If you click a link to a citation building service or rank tracker and make a purchase, we earn a commission. That financial relationship never dictates our editorial stance. We have actively downgraded tools we are affiliated with because their reporting accuracy dropped.

We tell you exactly what software we use in our own agency. If a tool fails our internal testing, we will not recommend it. Period.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial team operates completely independently from our sales and partnership divisions. No software vendor can buy a positive review on this site.

No agency partner can dictate our coverage of local search tactics. We do not accept sponsored guest posts. We do not sell links.

The strategies we publish are based entirely on our own operational data and field experience. If a major local SEO platform releases a broken feature, we will call it out. Our loyalty belongs strictly to the business owners trying to dominate their local markets.

Content Updates and Freshness

A local SEO guide from three years ago is worse than useless. It is dangerous.

Google updates the Business Profile interface constantly. Citation networks merge or die. We audit our core guides every 90 days. We check every screenshot to ensure it matches the current GBP dashboard.

We verify that recommended tools still exist and function as described. When a tactic stops working, we update the article to reflect current practice.

Look for the “Last Updated” date at the top of our posts. That date means a human practitioner actually reviewed the content, tested the methods, and verified the accuracy.
